Hoy, nuestras estudiantes sénior del grupo de trabajo de Tapices Flamencos visitan el Museo de la Catedral de Santiago de Compostela. El principal objetivo de esta visita de estudio es conocer de primera mano los famosos trapices de Rubbens depositados en el museo.¡Buena suerte!
El Museo de la catedral de Santiago de Compostela expone una serie de tapices entre los que figuran varios del siglo XVII elaborados a partir de diseños de Rubens y sus discípulos. Entre los tapices figuran cinco de temática mitológica confeccionados a mediados del siglo XVII en talleres de Bruselas a partir de cartones de Rubens y varios de sus discípulos. También hay dos tapices napolitanos que fueron obsequiados en 1655 como ofrenda por parte de Felipe IV.

Today, our senior students of the Working Group "Flemish Tapestries" are visiting the Cathedral Museum of Santiago de Compostela. The principal aim of this study visit is getting first-hand knowledge of the famous tapestries by Rubbens lodged in the Museum.

The Museum of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela exposes a series of tapestries made from designs by Rubens and his disciples during the seventeenth century. You can enjoy five tapestries about mythological themes, made in the mid-seventeenth century in Brussels workshops from sketches by Rubens and several of his disciples. There are also two Neapolitan tapestries that were given in 1655 by the king Philip IV of Spain. as a gift to the Cathedral.
Efectivamente, ayer estuvimos en Santiago de Compostela para visitar el Museo de la Catedral y sus salas de tapices flamencos, después de mantener una entrevista con el director del Museo que nos atendió muy amablemente para darnos información y atender nuestras consultas. Volvimos satisfechas de esta experiencia que resultó muy motivadora para seguir impulsando nuestro trabajo.
ResponderEliminarIn fact, yesterday we were in Santiago de Compostela to visit the Museum of the Cathedral and its halls of Flemish tapestries, after holding a meeting with the director of the Museum who greeted us very kindly to give us information and answer our queries. We returned happy from this experience that was very motivating to further advance our work.
